Something More Fun

Ah, random white dancing.

I find this to be hillarious, personally.
While I realize that I am not a great dancer, and sometimes I look like a complete fool, when you capture anyone looking this dorky on film, you have to share it with the world.

This stellar performance took place at the Swing Station in Laporte - "Where Red Meets Green." A.k.a.: Hippies and rednecks gettin' down to an, uh, ecclectic assortment of musical acts on the various evenings. Everything from Rock-a-billy to Bluegrass to Swing gets played here.

On this particular evening, Easy Bill and The Big Beat, one of my favorite Denver bands, was in town. This happened to be back on 17 February, when the temperatures were dropping to the negative side of zero, so it's pretty impressive that they made it all the way from D-town to play for a (relatively) small crowd.

A small delegation from the CSU/Fort Collins swing scene also made the excursion, and braved unspeakable hazards to see Easy Bill. These hazards included: dancing on carpet, -5 degees, no beer special, and Ben's car being too cold to start. Anyways, here are a few pictures.
